On July 5, AmCham China hosted our annual America’s BBQ & Family Day at the Kerry Hotel Beijing to celebrate the United States’ 249th birthday. The party brought together more than 300 members, friends, and families for a day of fun, food, and community.
There was something for everyone: Kids explored a colorful play zone complete with face painting, science shows, arts and crafts, and cheerful clowns, while the adults enjoyed a generous buffet, live music, free-flowing drinks, and of course, our famous July 4 prize draw with incredible prizes.
We were honored to welcome US Ambassador to China David Perdue and AmCham China Chair Alvin Liu to join the celebration. In his remarks, Ambassador Perdue reflected on the long-standing friendship between the Chinese and American people and emphasized the important role of business as a shared “language” between the two nations. He praised AmCham China’s ongoing contributions to US-China relations and expressed confidence in the future of bilateral cooperation.
The lucky draw was a crowd favorite, led by AmCham China President Michael Hart and Vice President Claire Ma, with standout prizes including a round-trip flight to the US courtesy of United Airlines, luxury hotel stays, dining experiences, and a one-year membership to United Family Healthcare.
A silent auction added to the excitement, offering two premium prizes: a deluxe weekend at China World Hotel and a business class round-trip ticket between China and the US from United Airlines.
A big thank-you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable! We’re especially grateful to the Kerry Hotel Beijing for providing such a beautiful venue and outstanding service.
And of course, a heartfelt thank-you to our generous sponsors, this celebration wouldn’t have been possible without your support.
